Studio AK is a full-service interior design firm, specializing in renovating and furnishing high-end residential projects. The partners bring over twenty-five years of international design experience, working on many high level projects featured in major design publications. Current projects include apartments in Manhattan and homes in Washington D.C., Silo Ridge, Charlottesville, and Palm Beach.
Anna Baraness - Partner
Prior to founding Studio AK, Anna spent eight years working at an AD100 firm. Her most recent role was that of Associate where she ran high-budget projects including a private estate on Jupiter Island, Florida, a vacation home in Aspen, apartments in Manhattan and a beach house on a private island in the Bahamas. Prior, she lived in London working for renowned interior design companies leading projects ranging from a Royal Residence in Jordan, a Lutyens estate in Berkshire and multiple residences throughout the UK and Europe. Anna holds a Sociology and Art History degree from Guelph University and a Bachelor of Interior Design degree from Ryerson University in Toronto. Anna currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband and two young children.
Kristin Tarsi - Partner
Prior to founding Studio AK, Kristin spent nearly a decade at a high end, AD100 firm. As Senior Designer, she managed multi-million dollar interiors projects all over the US including an estate in Palm Beach, a lakefront home in Chicago, apartments in Manhattan, and vacation homes in Aspen, the Hamptons, and the Yellowstone Club in Montana. Kristin holds degrees from Tulane University and Parsons School of Design, and resides on Manhattan’s Upper West Side with her husband and two daughters.
